About Fluently
The company behind your AI language tutor
Fluently builds an AI private-tutor experience for language learning through natural voice conversations and real-time feedback on pronunciation, grammar, phrasing and more.
Speaking is the most difficult and underserved part of language learning, so we focus on people who have studied a language for years and understand it well but still cannot speak confidently in real conversations.
The company was started in 2023 by two ML engineers who lived that problem themselves — and its app has since passed a million downloads across more than 160 countries.

How Fluently got here
2023

Y Combinator
Fluently joins the Y Combinator W24 batch, working with group partner Tom Blomfield.
June 2024
$2M seed round
The round is led by Pioneer Fund, with angels including Burkay Gur (fal), Alex Mashrabov (Higgsfield) and Arash Ferdowsi (Dropbox). It closes before Demo Day and is covered by TechCrunch.

The mobile AI tutor launches on Product Hunt and finishes #1 Product of the Day and #3 Product of the Week.
November 2025
Accent Guru
The free accent-assessment tool Accent Guru takes #1 Product of the Day and #1 Product of the Week on Product Hunt.

Founders
Yurii Rebryk
Co-founder & CEO
ML research internships at Google, Nvidia, Lyft and Amazon during university. Before Fluently, co-founded a deep-tech startup working on real-time face and voice swap for mobile and grew it from 2 to 50 people.
Stanislav Beliaev
Co-founder & CTO
ML research internships at Google and Nvidia during university, focused on speech recognition. Co-founded the same deep-tech startup before turning to language learning with Fluently.
What we build
Fluently is a voice-first AI language tutor for iOS and Android. You hold a real conversation — a free topic, a work scenario or a mock interview — and after each answer the app shows what to fix: pronunciation down to individual sounds, grammar, vocabulary, and how a native speaker would have phrased the same thought.
Your level is scored across pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension, and daily speaking practice targets the weakest area.
Fluently teaches 13 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. The interface is available in English, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Korean.
